Mahjong is a tile-based game that was developed in China during the Qing dynasty and is similar to the card game Rummy. The name Mahjong can be translated as “sparrow” and sets comprising 144 tiles, are thought, when shuffled, to resemble numerous sparrows squabbling over food. We welcome players of all standards.
